Narendra Modi: Success After Failure



A humble tea seller, embroiled in the most bloody disputes in the country today, is the Prime Minister. Does success require any other definition? When Modi assumed the post of Chief Minister of Gujarat Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel as Chief Minister, his development was with the opposition of many people within the party. The lack of experience of Modi was one of the main concerns. However, Modi stood on his land and became Chief Minister of Gujarat. As Chief Minister, he turned to RSS ideology and privatized and supported the small government. But perhaps, their correct examination was done in the form of Godhra violence. While many still blame them for the riots, their name is cleared and they become the most powerful men in the country.


Born September 17, 1950) is the 14th and current Prime Minister of India who is in the office from May 2014. He was Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014 and is a Member of Parliament for Varanasi. Modi, a member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is a Hindu nationalist and a member of the right wing is RSS (RSS).

Born in a Gujarati family in Vadnagar, Modi helped his father sell tea as a child, and later ran his own shop. In the beginning of long association with the organization, he was presented with the RSS at the age of eight. After graduating from school, he left home, partly due to the arrangement of a marriage, who rejected him. Modi traveled around India for two years and visited many religious centers. He returned to Gujarat and went to Ahmedabad in 1969 or 1970. In 1971, he became a full-time worker for RSS During the state of emergency in 1975, during the state of emergency, Modi was forced to hide. The RSS entrusted it to the BJP in 1985, and by 2001, the party hierarchy was standing in many positions and till the rank of the general secretary.

Because of the failed health and poor public image of Keshubhai Patel after earthquake in Bhuj, Modi was appointed Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001. Soon Modi was elected to the Legislative Assembly. His administration has been considered as an engagement in the 2002 Gujarat riots, or otherwise criticized for tackling it, though a court found no evidence to prosecute Modi. As the Chief Minister, his policies are credited with encouraging economic development. His administration has been criticized for failing to make significant improvements in the health, poverty and education index in the state.


Modi led the BJP in the 2014 general elections, which gave the party a majority in the Lok Sabha, for the first time a party has achieved it since 1984. Modi himself was elected to Parliament from Varanasi. Since taking office, Modi's administration has tried to increase foreign direct investment in the Indian economy, increase spending on infrastructure, and reduce spending on health care and social welfare programs. Modi has tried centralized power to improve efficiency in bureaucracy and through the abolition of Planning Commission. He has started a high profile hygiene campaign, and the credit of Engineering with a political engagement towards right-wing politics, weak or ended, and environmental laws, Modi, on his Hindu nationalist beliefs, during the 2002 Gujarat riots, domestic and international level But there is a symbol of dispute, which has been mentioned as boycotting evidence of social agenda.
